The rain and storm that came on Friday afternoon has damaged the tower of Nawalpur FM 104 Thoplo 4 MHz in Kawasoti of East Nawalparasi.

Managing Director of FM Radhika Bhusal said that the transmission was stopped after the wind blew down the tower. The 120 feet high tower has broken into 4 pieces due to the storm. The transmission will be started after the technical problems are solved by repairing the tower as soon as possible.

Many places have been damaged due to the storm in East and West Nawalparasi. There are reports of houses and roofs being blown away and trees falling. There has also been a problem with electricity supply due to the fall of electricity poles.
