After 21 years, Narayan Prasad Pant, 53, of Gandaki Rural Municipality-3 Fujell (formerly Fujell Gavis-5), who was absconding after 1 year imprisonment and a fine of 500 rupees, has been arrested by the police.
The order of the Court of Appeals, Pokhara, dated 26th December 2016, sentenced Pant to imprisonment and fine in the murder case.
After that, the absconding Pant was arrested from Chitwan on Thursday, DSP Indra Prasad Subedi of District Police Office Gorkha said. He said that it was submitted to the District Court Gorkha on Friday and as per the order of the court, the defendant was sent to the Prison Office, Gorkha to pay the prescribed imprisonment.
