15-year-old Sijal Gurung of Barpak Sulikot Rural Municipality-4, who went swimming in the Daroodi River, drowned.
DSP Indra Prasad Subedi of District Police Office Gorkha said that Gurung drowned while swimming in Daroudi located in Ajirkot Rural Municipality-5 on Thursday. He went to Daroudi river to swim with 5 friends.
While swimming, he drowned in the river and died. The police said that the child was found dead during the search. A police team led by Police Inspector Kiran Ghimire of Jowari District Police Office has reached the spot and is investigating.
