A young man has died in Pokhara after drowning while swimming in the river. 23-year-old Deepak Kandel died on Sunday after drowning while swimming in the Madiwang River of Gwarachina, Pokhara Metropolitan City.
He lived in Pokhara-8 Alumaila Chowk, whose permanent home was Baglung. DSP Hari Bahadur Basnet, Information Officer of District Police Office Kaski informed that the doctor declared him dead as he was taken to the Western Regional Hospital in an unconscious state.
The police said that the body of the deceased Kandel will be handed over to the family after the post-mortem.
