7 people who were trapped in Fewa Lake after the boat overturned due to the storm have been rescued. A joint team of the Nepali Army and the Armed Police rescued 7 people trapped in the lake when the standing double paddle boat overturned due to a storm in Phewa Lake on Thursday.
While boating, due to a sudden storm, the boat overturned in the middle of the lake and 7 people were trapped in the lake. For their rescue, a security force including divers from the Armed Police Force Nepal No. 24 Kalika Gana Kaski stationed at Phewatal Rescue Tower was deployed.
After the rescue, one person has been taken to Gandaki Medical College for treatment. DSP Shailendra Thapa, co-spokesperson of the Armed Police Force said that the condition of the other 6 people is normal.
