Police have arrested one person with 3.5 million in cash and drugs from Ramgram Municipality-6 Pokharapali in West Nawalparasi.
A joint police team deployed from Narcotics Control Bureau, Bhairahawa and District Police Office Nawalparasi arrested 52-year-old Premnath Baniyan. Based on confidential information, drugs and cash were recovered during a search of the room where Baniyan was staying.
According to Police Inspector Narayan Thapa of the District Police Office, Diazapan 24 ampoules, Phenegran 22 ampoules, Orex syrup and 9 mobile phones and cash of 3.5 lakh 99 thousand cash were recovered from Baniyan. Baniyan's According to the police, around 497 grams of powdery substance which looks like white heroin was also found during the search of the body.
Baniyan, who was arrested on the evening of 24th Baisakh, is being investigated by District Court Parasi for 7 days, police said.
