The Chumanubri-3 Jagat Tourist Check-up Center, which was closed during the Corona epidemic, has resumed. Santosh Sherchan, the head of Manaslu Conservation Area (MCAP), said that tourist and forest product check posts have been started in Jagat from 5th Baisakh. "It was closed after Corona, we were checking the tourists from Jagat through the film office," he said, "We have started the service again from Jagat by adding some internal staff."

He said that it became easier to check the tourists in the Manaslu area. With the opening of the Larke road track up to Pangsing, tourists have been reaching Chum and Nubri through the same route. Jagat's office is located in Pangsing Pari Film. 

Jagat's examination center will check immigration and permits to enter Manaslu area. "If we use drones, cameras or filming, we will check whether permission has been obtained or not," he said.

Mcap has prepared to establish a tourist check center at Chumanubri-1 Samagaon by the end of Baisakh.

The number of foreign tourists visiting Manaslu region is increasing year by year. Only 10,273 people have visited Manaslu area during the nine months till March of the current financial year. Sherchan, head of MCAP, said that the number of tourists has increased this year compared to the previous financial year.

In the last fiscal year, 9,783 tourists reached Manaslu region. "This year the number of tourists will increase even more, it is the season till May 15," Sherchan said. Sherchan said that Manaslu region is a beautiful place in terms of biological diversity and natural landscape, so the number of tourists is increasing every year. Tourists who come here visit the Chum and Nubri Valley areas and pass Larke. Recently, there has been a significant increase in the number of Nepali tourists visiting Manaslu region.

Mcap keeps records of foreign tourists only. Geographical location of the northern region, snow ranges, cultural monasteries, temples and monasteries are the choice of tourists. March, April and May and October and November are considered the best time to visit Manaslu Conservation Area.
