, 19 Baisakh: The second hunting season of this year has ended in Dhorpatan, the only hunting reserve in Nepal. In the second season, only 11 Naur and seven Jharal have been caught. The Department of Wildlife and National Parks had invited bids for hunting on January 15 and granted permission to hunt 35 wild animals including 13 wild boars, 10 wild boars and 12 wild boars.

Six companies, namely Himalayan Wildlife Outfitters Pvt Ltd, Tracks and Trails Pvt Ltd, Himalayan Safaris Pvt Ltd, Global Safaris Nepal, Nepal Travel Expedition and Open Nepal Wildlife Safaris, were given permission to play hunting. According to Ranger Sagar Subedi of Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve Office, hunters had come to Dhorpatan since Chait 26th. The hunters hunted two naur and two jharal in Sundah block, three naur and three jharal in Ghustung block, four naur and one jharal in Dogadi block, one naur and one jharal in Fagune block and one naur in Barse. Hunting of 12 wild boars was allowed, but not a single one was hunted.

For the second yam (February - Baisakh), the hunters played Sikar till Baisakh 16th. According to Subedi, Himalayan Wildlife Outfitters Kathmandu got permission to hunt two naur, two wild boars and two wild boars through Sikari. This company has hunted only one Naur and one Jharal. Subedi informed that three hunters got permission to hunt three naur, three jharal and three wild boar through Nepal Travel Expedition Pvt Ltd, but only two naur were hunted.

Through Open Nepal Wildlife Safaris and Treks Pvt Ltd, three hunters got permission to hunt one naur, two jharals and three wild boars. He said that one of them was hunted by Naur and two by Jharal. In the second hunt, hunters came from America, Argentina, Spain and France. In Dhorpatan, hunting takes place in the first (August-November) and second (February-Vaisakh) yams every year.
