40-year-old Raju Vick, who was living in Raghuganga rural municipality-6, Thadakhani Ghar and living in Beni municipality-7, Benimangalaghat Arantol, who killed his wife on Monday night, was arrested on Tuesday morning.

According to the police, Mrs. Bhagwati Vick (30) hit her head with a piece of wood at around 10-11 o'clock on Monday night and ran away. On Tuesday morning, Vick was arrested while hiding inside Khawra Community Forest located in Beni Municipality-2. The district police office said further investigation of the incident is underway.

At 10 o'clock in the night, there was a fight at Vic's house, the commotion was heard, but no one went to the rescue, the police said. According to the police, as the accused Raju Vick always comes home drunk and fights, no one took any interest even on Monday, but Bhagwati was found dead when the house was deserted till late morning.

According to the neighbors, the deceased had gone to the house of his mother Guma at Guftol, Jaljala Rural Municipality-3 of Bhagwati Parbat on Monday. In the evening, Raju went to his mother-in-law's house while drunk and brought his wife.
