One person died in Gorkha due to lightning. 42-year-old Raju Khanal of Saheed Lakhan Rural Municipality-1 Bakrang, who became unconscious after being struck by lightning, died.
Khanal, who was struck by lightning while he was sitting at home on Sunday evening, was brought to the provincial hospital Gorkha for treatment.
District Police Office Gorkha Police Inspector Dhuvra Prasad Sharma informed that the doctor declared him dead soon after he was brought to the hospital.
The body has been kept in the mortuary for post-mortem. Two people were injured in Palungtar Municipality-7 due to lightning strike on Sunday evening.
They are being treated at Narayani Community Hospital Chitwan.
