Syangja police have seized illegal food during vehicle inspection.
A mini truck numbered Lu 2 B 1921 coming from Butwal to Pokhara was seized during the traffic check at Ramdi in Syangja under Siddharth Highway on Friday morning.
Information Officer DSP Hariprasad Paudel of the district police informed that the items without bills were seized and sent to the Revenue Investigation Office Butwal. According to him, 24-year-old Basant Periyar of Suddhodhan Rural Municipality-3 of Rupandehi, 40-year-old Suman Vick of Palpa Rainadevi Chahara Rural Municipality-4 and 32-year-old Dipsan Sunar of Rupandehi Siyari Rural Municipality-6 were also sent to Butwal for investigation.
They brought 210 bags of sugar (50 kg per bag), 39 bags of sugar (5 kg per bag) and 18 bags of kerau (30 kg per bag) to Pokhara for sale.
