Arjunchoupari rural municipality-1 of the district has been brought into operation at Bagar industrial village. Arjunchoupari rural municipality has brought 5 different industries into operation with the financial support of the union and state government.
35 plantations on the banks of the Darukhola river have been put into operation since 27th July 2081. Village chairman Prakash Tiwari said that 5 industries have been brought into operation here, 3 stone cutting industries, 1 block and 1 furniture industry. According to
president Tiwari, the federal and state governments have been providing financial support for the operation of the industrial village.
Even though the campaign will be conducted at all 85 local levels of Gandaki Province, so far, only some of the municipalities have been operating industrial villages.
The government of Gandaki province started a campaign to run one local level one industry village program with its establishment. The program, which has been prioritized in the policy and program and budget, has not been able to give victory as expected in the field.
A budget of 2.22 million was allocated by the federal government for the operation of Arjunchoupari's industrial village. Similarly, the provincial government has invested Rs. 45 lakhs and the rural municipality has invested Rs. 42 lakhs. Chairman Tiwari said that the municipality is facilitating the necessary facilities for the operation of the industry.
Sanjeev Rokay, a resident of Arjunchoupari, said that after the industrial village came into operation in his municipality, the locals got direct employment. He said that along with employment for the locals, services can also be easily taken from the industry.
