Baglung Municipality recycles the garbage collected in the city area. It has started a plan to make other materials from waste and waste.
The city, which is facing challenges in waste management, has entered into a waste management agreement with Samana Abhiyan Nepal. Campaign chief Chandrakant Paudel and Baglung Municipality chief Basant Kumar Shrestha signed an agreement on Tuesday. According to the agreement, the municipality will bear 5 percent and the campaign will bear 95 percent of the financial burden and will spend 367.7 million rupees for waste management.
At present, the waste will be managed in Khuturke of Ward No. 1 by running a zero waste campaign. For that, some tools and vehicles that are needed immediately will be brought through the campaign. Paudel said that the waste will be made into useful material.
The goal is to prevent the dumping site from smelling while managing waste, and to earn money from waste by reusing it. "We worship rivers, forests and water, but we are going to conduct this project to prevent that from happening," Poudel said, "We also aim to make useful materials." A Russian entrepreneur who came to see the field for waste management said that he made pens and other materials from plastic waste. 
For a long time, the municipality tried to work on waste management, but it was suffering from bad smell. Maldhunga Kushmisera road, Kaligandaki river and Kathekhola bank were suffering because of bad smell. Chandni, the head of the campaign, said that they have also worked in Africa.
Municipality has already started garbage collection by providing three types of buckets. There will also be work to create an eco club for children and raise awareness among parents about how to collect that waste. The goal of the plan is to create a pollution-free city, build a biogas plant and build a swimming pool near waste management.
By creating three sections at that location, the municipality has also built some structures to manage the hazardous waste including perishable, non-perishable and lead. Chief Shrestha informed that the municipality has spent 1 crore rupees to build the structure this year.
