A young man was seriously injured by a bear attack in Bhoje, Kholasothar rural municipality-7 of Lamjung. The seriously injured 26-year-old Tek Prasad Gurung of Bhoja was taken to Gandaki Hospital in Pokhara and is undergoing treatment, police said.
According to the police, he was attacked by a bear around 5 pm on Thursday. Bhoje went to pick kurilo with his friends in the community forest Police Inspector Rajkishore Sah Teli informed that the young man was injured when the bear attacked him. Ward Chairman Lakshuman Gurung, 3 young men went to Purnasa (old village) ruins forest above the village to look for Kurilo when the bear attacked Gurung. Ward chairman Gurung said that he gave up after being attacked and the bear ran away when his two friends arrived.
