One person died on Tuesday when a stone fell from Chunpahara in Bandipur rural municipality-4 Bimalnagar of Tanahun. District Police Inspector Raju Adhikari said that the driver of the Chinese company's excavator number G2-013, which was used to work on that section during the highway expansion, was injured by a stone that fell from Bhir.

According to him, during the repair of the excavator, the driver Suk Bahadur Gurung, 40 years old of Beyas Municipality-9, was injured by a stone that suddenly fell from Bhir. The police inspector said that the injured Gurung was referred to Bharatpur Chitwan for further treatment after first treatment at Moti Hospital Dumre.

District Police Office Tanahun has informed that further investigation is underway regarding the incident.
