Two Indian citizens have been arrested by the police on the charge of defrauding the gold and silver jewelery by using chemical substances to reduce the oil of the jewellery.

According to the police, 32-year-old Pintu Shah and 41-year-old Santosh Kumar Shah of Jadiya Supauli, Bharat Vihar Province were arrested from Siranchok Rural Municipality-6 Valyadanda on Tuesday. DSP Indra Prasad Subedi of District Police Office Gorkha said that they were arrested on the basis of information that local women and elderly people had cheated by using different kinds of chemical substances to reduce their weight. According to the police, chemical substances used for smelting gold and silver and materials used for this work were also recovered from them. 

He also said that a case was registered against the accused who was arrested on Wednesday under the title of crime related to treason.
