Minister of Social Development, Youth and Sports of Gandaki Province, Vindukumar Thapa has spent 10 lakh rupees on social work including salary and other benefits.

By holding a press conference on Tuesday, Minister Thapa announced that from February 2080 to the end of last January, 9 lakh 90 thousand 94 rupees received from salaries, meeting allowances and other facilities were spent on social work. In addition, he said that he has spent 1 million 1 thousand 324 rupees during this period including personal. 

Minister Thapa said that the money was spent on sick people, organizations in his constituency, sports competitions, purchase of drinking water pipes and tanks, temples, establishment of Akshaya Kosh, and maintenance of playgrounds. According to the public information, he has contributed from 14 thousand to 1 lakh rupees. Minister Thapa has spent this amount in his constituency. 

Ever since he became an MP in 074, he has been spending the benefits he received including salary and meeting allowance on social work.

Minister Thapa said that he has spent 79 lakh 42 thousand 390 rupees on social work in 7 years after becoming an MP and minister.  Congress leader Thapa is an elected Member of Parliament from Kaski 2 (2) in 074 and 079. He became the Minister of Law, Communications and Provincial Assembly Affairs in his first term.
