Demonstrations have been held in Pokhara against the vandalism and looting by the royalists in Kathmandu and in favor of the republic. Students of Prithvi Narayan Campus, Janapriya Multipurpose Campus, Kalika Multipurpose Campus protested at the State Assembly Gate in Nadipur on Sunday morning.

The participants carried placards at the State Assembly gate with the words 'Regressive forces be careful', 'Retrogressive elements are prohibited from entering', 'Prosperous Republic of Nepal is alive', 'Constitution is our pride, Republic is our identity'. They also shouted slogans saying, 'Mandals be careful', 'Long live the Republic of Nepal', 'Constitution is our pride'.

The demonstration at the State Assembly gate was aimed at the RPP. The students had planned to stop RPP party leader Pancharam Gurung and chief whip Bindu Paudel at the gate by saying that they were protesting against the republic by boarding the government vehicle.
