Criticized for 'praising' Oli, Saput said - 'I am fine with singing'

Singer and actor Prakash Saput, who was criticized on social media for 'praising' Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, has responded that he is fine with singing.

Saput was invited as a guest at the 12th General Assembly of the Nepal Gold and Silver Business Federation held in Pokhara on Saturday. The host handed over the mic to him. Then Saput said, 'I wanted to talk a lot about the chairman of the program, the chief guest. But I am fine not to speak but to sing.' After saying this, he sang 2 songs.

Saput's response that he is fine to sing is related to a program on February 19. Saput was the speaker at the launch of the book 'KP Sharma Oli: Sapna, Sangharsh and Sankalp'. Saput said that Oli's life is an inspiration for those who retreat to dream and struggle.

Social media users criticized Saput for praising Oli. There were comments on the social media where he had to boycott the movie 'Basant' which was going to be screened on Chait 22. Saput, who came to Pokhara for the promotion of his movie, said that he is ready to sing.
