Lamjung police has arrested a young man on the charge of raping a 16-year-old girl.

According to the District Police Office, 37-year-old Yuvraj Alemgar of Benisahar Municipality-1, Udipur has been arrested and action taken.

District Police Chief DSP Resham Bohra informed that the investigation against the youth has been extended by 7 days in the Lamjung District Court on Wednesday.

Last Monday around 11:00 pm, the young man was arrested on the basis of a complaint of raping a girl, said Police Inspector Rajkishore Sah Teli, Information Officer of the District Police Office, Lamjung.

He said that the young man was arrested on Tuesday morning and the court extended the deadline for the investigation in the extortion case.
