Armed Police Border Out Post (BOP) is going to be established in Narpabhoomi Rural Municipality of Manang, which is bordered with China.
BOP will be established in Narpabhoomi rural municipality-4, Fu (formerly Fu borough-2), according to District Administration Office Manang. This place is about 4 thousand meters above sea level.
Chief District Officer Matrika Acharya said that 20 ropani land has been provided to the armed police as a long-term lease for the establishment of BOP. He said that the government land has been provided on lease to be used by the armed police as per the requirement.
The lease certificate he gave to Armed Police Force no. Gulmapati, 32, was handed over to Deputy Superintendent of Armed Police Hira Bahadur Ji during a program on Thursday.
Phu area is a difficult Himalayan area of Manang, and since the road network has not yet been reached, Prajia Acharya expressed his belief that after the establishment of BOP, it will be very effective for border security and surveillance as well as international crime control.

There will be 35 armed policemen including police inspectors in BOP. Chief District Officer Acharya said that he will proceed in coordination with Narpabhumi Rural Municipality and establish BOP as soon as possible.
He expected that after the establishment of BOP, peace and security, disaster management and the rescue of tourists who fall ill due to the lake will be more effective.
Narpabhumi is a municipality bordering Tibet, an autonomous region of China. This area which falls under the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) is also a restricted area.
It takes two days from Manang headquarters Chame to reach Phu village in Narpabhumi. You have to walk to reach this place, which is not yet accessible by road. It takes two days to reach the Chinese border from Fu village.
