Police have arrested 22-year-old Sunil Sunar of Palungtar Municipality-1 on the charge of raping a 13-year-old girl.

DSP Indra Prasad Subedi of District Police Office Gorkha said that the accused was arrested on the basis of a complaint filed on the 18th of February. On February 26, the police registered a case under the title of extortion against the accused and obtained an arrest warrant. 

The police arrested the accused from Palungtar-2 on Saturday and the incident is being investigated.
