District Administration Office Lamjung has warned that action will be taken against anyone who does undesirable activities against their wishes during the Holi (Fagu) festival.

Chief District Officer Buddha Bahadur Gurung said that those who forcefully apply paint against someone's will, throw any kind of abuse, throw garbage, cause distress and harassment to travelers on the road will be punished.

According to him, action will be taken against people who obstruct the road in the name of festival and collect money from vehicles, create obstacles in traffic flow, consume and feed alcohol and drugs, drive vehicles under the influence of alcohol, and shout in public places.

District Administration Office Lamjung has published a public notice and asked not to do unlimited activities during the Holi (Fagu) festival, which is celebrated as a festival of color and joy in the Himalayan and hilly districts on February 29th and Chaitra 1st in Terai districts.

Assistant Chief District Officer Thamman Singh Gautam has issued a public notice and requested not to play songs and instruments (DJ) in loud voice, affect the private life of any person and disturb public peace and order.

The administration has requested the citizens to help maintain peace, order and harmony in the society by celebrating Holi in an orderly, dignified and entertaining manner by following health and safety standards while being aware of the accidents that may occur while playing on the roof, porch and veranda of the house.

The administration has warned that in the name of celebrating the festival, action will be taken according to the prevailing laws if any unwanted activity is found.
