The pair of Vidhan Adhikari and Pavin Lingthei won the title of the 'First President's Cup Open National Badminton' competition held on the occasion of the establishment day of Dharche Rural Municipality. The competition was held in three categories.
In the national men's doubles category, the pair of Tribhuvan Army Club's Vidhan Adhikari and Pavin Lingthey became the first. The winner got 75 thousand in cash. Similarly, Supreem Pant and Suvin Shrestha from Tandoori House Kathmandu got the second place, Vivek Chaudhary and Himansu Kavar Magar from Kanchanpur and Dang and Ram Mall Thakuri and Sujan Thapa from Dhading and Lamjung got the third place. The second and third placers got 45 thousand and 15/15 thousand cash prizes respectively.
Bhishan Shrestha and Rajkumar Shrestha from Dhading became the first in the open district level category. The pair of Jenish Amatya and Buddhi Thapa of Dhading came second, Mukul Gurung and Chhatra Thapa of Gorkha and the pair of Vishnulal Shrestha and Krishna Kumar Shrestha of Dhading became third.
1st, 2nd and 3rd place have won 45 thousand, 30 thousand, 7 thousand 5 cash prizes respectively .
Krishna Gurung and Ramesh Thapa of Barpak Sulikot Rural Municipality have become the first in Gorkha district inter-municipality level men's doubles category. Leela Bahadur Ranabhat and Veerkumar Thapa of District Police Office Gorkha came second and Dil Thapa and Nirmal Thapa of Sahid Lakhan Rural Municipality and Sujan Bhatt and Anjit Shrestha of Gorkha Municipality came third. The first, second and third place winners will receive 30,000, 20,000 and 5,000 cash prizes respectively.
