Arughat Rural Municipality has honored 6 agricultural and animal husbandry farmers with cash. On the occasion of the 16th session of the village assembly on Monday, the best farmers were selected and honored with cash of 15,000, said Indrahari Khanal, Head of Animal Services Branch.
Goat breeder Sete Khatri of Arughat-3, Geeta Shrestha of Arughat-10, poultry breeder, Sandeep Shrestha of Arughat-10, fish breeder have been honoured. He said that Ram Bahadur Gurung of Arughat-2, who was cultivating cardamom for spice crops, Bir Bahadur Lama of Arughat-1, who was cultivating bananas under fruit cultivation, and Gopal Baniyan of Arughat-7, who was cultivating vegetables, were honored, he said. Raju Gurung, chairman of the rural municipality, honored the best farmers with certificates.
Similarly, the convention also decided to establish a social service unit at Arughat Basic Hospital, Chief Administrative Officer Bhimsen Shrestha said.
"We are going to establish a unit to help those with weak economic conditions in treatment," he said.
