Speaker of Gandaki Province, Krishna Prasad Dhital, has said that Gurung and Magar languages will soon be used along with Nepali for working languages.
He said that since the bill introduced by the government has been registered in the parliament and is under discussion, it will be used from the winter session.
Inaugurating the 'Sajha Janawaz Digital Magazine' held in Baglung on Saturday, he said that it will help in preserving the language of the majority of the people.
He said that the Parliament of Gandaki Province is also working on making a law to make cannabis cultivation systematic and legal. He also said that branding the local liquor will save domestic capital.
Speaker Dhital said that the media should also speak the language of the majority of citizens. He also asked to perform religion that exposes the feelings of common citizens.
He also said that despite the recent increase in anti-establishment activities, the media should give priority to the issues of democracy and republic.
