Agricultural technology and local Raithane food festival has started in Madhyabindu Municipality-7 Chormara of East Nawalparasi. Agriculture and Livestock Development Minister Ramnath Adhikari inaugurated the festival during a program on Thursday.

Addressing the program, the minister said that all three levels of government should work towards self-sufficiency in agriculture. 

The best agricultural products, techniques and original food of different ethnicities within the municipality are exhibited. There are stalls of agricultural tools and technology from different places of the country for farmers to develop new technology skills. Bhimalal Adhikari, head of Madhyabindu Municipality, said stalls were provided free of charge to farmers and groups participating in the three-day festival.  At the

exhibition, there was a crowd of participants in the Raithane food stalls of Tharu, Magar, Gurung and other castes. Before the start of the festival, the local people, dressed in traditional costumes and costumes, went around the city.
