According to Dhak Bahadur Bhujel, head of Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) Manang, Manang village (3,519 meters), Khangsar (3,765 meters) and other settlements in upper Manang, although it snowed normally, it did not freeze. He said that the snow that fell up to the hills did not reach the settlement. He said that now there are very few tourists on the circular Annapurna trail and the tourists who have come are going to their destination.

According to Chief District Officer Matrika Acharya, although it has snowed in the upper hills of Chame, the headquarters, it has not snowed in the human settlements. He said that even though there was normal snowfall on Friday evening in the human settlements up to Humde (3,300 meters) in Upper Manang, it did not freeze. "Earlier, it snowed normally 1-2 times, even then it did not freeze." Even now, it has not snowed to the point of freezing", he said.

According to him, there was a drought in Manang even during the snowfall this year. Till the first week of February, there was a fire in Timang forest .
