Dhorpatan, Nisikhola and Rukum border areas of Baglung have been experiencing snowfall along with rain since Friday morning.
Hem Bahadur Budhamgar, Chairman of Nisikhola Rural Municipality-6, said that the mountains were covered with snow since morning. About 7 km section of Madhyapahari Lokmarg towards Baglung has been covered with snow, while it has also snowed towards Rukum . Due to snowfall, even vehicles could not pass through the said road .
Chief District Officer Netra Prasad Subedi has requested to be cautious while traveling on Madhyapahari public road as the road is covered due to snowfall. He also said that after discussing with the Chief District Officer of Rukum, an attempt was made to stop night driving.
As the road is slippery and winding and steep, he said that he was asked not to take risks and travel. He said that the soldiers of the local police station informed about the snowfall after conducting an on-site inspection.
Night buses and other vehicles from Rukum East and West and from Jajarkot to Kathmandu pass through this section of the public road.
