Five points have been agreed on in the incident that took place in Palhinandan rural municipality-3 Belaspur of West Nawalparasi on February 13th. One person died and 20 others were injured in Belaspur on Tuesday due to a dispute between two groups. 35-year-old Vijay Dhawal of Palhinandan-3 died when he was hit by a vehicle during the clash.
As the dispute escalated, 5 points were agreed upon in the discussion held on Thursday between the district administration, district coordination and stakeholders. Hiralal Adhikari, Chief District Officer of West Nawalparasi, said that 5 points have been agreed including action against the culprits, relief to the families of the deceased and action against the culprits involved in the incident.
The cremation of the deceased was done with the consent and the necessary investigation is being done. There was a dispute between two groups regarding the love relationship between a girl from the Muslim community and a boy from the Dhowi surname. During the clash, the police fired 5 rounds of tear gas and three rounds of aerial fire to bring the situation under control. On Monday, the dispute flared up after the boy's brother was beaten up by the girl's relatives.
According to the local, both the children are around 20 years old and the police said that they are not in contact with their families. Although the relatives of both sides tried to keep the children in love apart, they did not come in contact with the family and the police after the children refused.
