Barpak Sulikot Rural Municipality has honored 29 people including Sete Ramtel, father of Dil Bahadur Ramtel, the first martyr of 'Jan Yuddh'.
They were honored on the occasion of the 29th Memorial Day of Dil Bahadur Ramtel, the first martyr of the People's War in Barpak Sulikot-8 Jarang on Wednesday. The chief administrative officer of the village informed that 27 family members, 1 family of martyred warrior and 1 injured person were honored with 10,000 in cash. Former Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun, Village Chairman Bishnu Bhatt and others honored them.
On the same occasion, a rhetorical competition was also held on the subject of 'Today's Change in the Place of Sacrifice'. Younik Penru of Shailiputri Mavi became the first, Dipika Sunar of Antarajyoti Mavi became second, Angela Sunar of Mazthar Mavi third and Riju Ghale of Himalaya Mavi Barpak and Vubagi Gurung Santhvana of Durga Mavi Ranchok became the first. They were given 3 thousand, 25 hundred, 2 thousand 250 and 2/2 thousand cash prizes respectively.
