Among the 8 local levels of Lamjung, Besishahar Municipality has been judged to be the best in performance evaluation. The National Natural Resources and Finance Commission has surpassed other 7 local levels in the performance evaluation of the financial year 2080/81 published on Wednesday.
Besishahar municipality has secured the first place in Lamjung by getting 74.7 percent marks. Similarly, Marsyangdi Rural Municipality is second by getting 72.3 percent points and Sundarbazar Municipality is in third place with 69.1 points.
Rainas Municipality in the fourth place has 68.1, Madhya Nepal Municipality 64.7, Kholasothar Rural Municipality 58, Dordi Rural Municipality 54.1 and Dudhpokhari Rural Municipality 51.9 percent.
The commission evaluates the financial year's revenue and income expenditure estimate on time to the city and village assembly, whether the budget is not passed on time, whether the local level has sent the revenue to the state and union on time, education, health, revenue and student enrollment, current and capital expenditure, etc.
Gumansingh Aryal, head of Besishahar Municipality, claimed that he has been working with good governance and transparency as the first priority. He emphasized that the results should be good because he is doing work that needs to be coordinated, judicial work, policy, rule and law.
