Preparations for the "Seventh Syangja Festival-2081" to be held in Syangja from February 6 to 18 have been completed. According to the organizer, there will be about 220 stalls including cultural program and costume exhibition, school level dance competition, folk song competition, presentation of national level artists, agricultural fair, orange and organic coffee exhibition, fish festival and sales hall in the festival which will be held at the playground in Putlibazar Municipality-1 Malebagar.
The organizers of the festival, which is organized by the Federation of Commerce and Industry Syangja Mul, are the Federation of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Federation of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry Gandaki Province. According to Mahadev Shrestha, president of Syangja, the organizing industry and commerce association, the festival will serve as a common platform for all parties, including various political parties, government agencies, associations, and civil society, as well as the promotion of local products, as well as agriculture and animal husbandry, tourism and other businesses. Organizers expect more than 350,000 people to participate in the
festival and a turnover of 80 million. A fee of 100 rupees has been fixed for entering the festival, while there is a 50 percent discount for students. Senior citizens will be given free entry to the festival. According to
organizers, the festival will be inaugurated by the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Badri Prasad Pandey. Nepali Congress Syangja District President and Representative House Member Raju Thapa will be the special guest at the ceremony. According to the organizers, various artists will perform musical performances in the festival, which will be attended by people's representatives including MPs, local chiefs and deputy chiefs.
