The building of Police Station Sotipasal has been constructed in Madhya Nepal Municipality-2, Sotipasal of Lamjung. Gandaki Province Police Chief Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Bhola Bahadur Rawal inaugurated the new building, which was constructed at a cost of Rs 3.16 lakh 88 thousand 54 including value added tax.

DSP Nishant Srivastava of District Police Office Lamjung informed that the police station building was constructed after 25 years of the police station which was established in the year 2055. According to him, work administration branch, female/male detention room, male and female barracks, in-charge accommodation, kitchen and toilet have been constructed in the newly constructed building. He claimed that with the construction of the new building, the services provided by the police will be more convenient.

DIG Rawal said that the police needed physical structures with facilities for maintaining peace and security, crime control and investigation. "The police should be improved in terms of infrastructure, skills, facilities and technology along with capacity building," he said.

Construction of police station building at Sotipsala in Lamjung DSP Engineer Dhruv Adhikari said that there are 12 rooms in the building which was constructed with the budget allocated by the Government of Nepal. There are currently 11 officers in the police station. "The police was previously in a dilapidated house with a zinc sheet roof and zinc sheets built by the community. Now a facility-rich building has been built. It is necessary to make good use of it," he said.
