Pokhara Metropolitan City-8 has established a 'Diva Shishu Kendra' to take care of the children of government employees. The center has been put into operation in coordination with Gandaki Provincial Government and Pokhara Metropolitan City.
The center established at Sri Ram Basic School in Simarchaur was inaugurated during a program. Minister of Social Development, Youth and Sports of Gandaki Province, Vindukumar Thapa said that the baby center was established with the aim of providing an opportunity for the children of the employees to grow up in a safe, loving and comfortable environment.
According to the Ministry, the Shishu Kendra was established to motivate the employees towards their duties by operating the center in an orderly, transparent and efficient manner. According to Minister Thapa, this step will contribute to creating a family-friendly environment in the society while increasing productivity at the workplace.
Muna Adhikari, head of social development division of the Ministry of Social Development, said that the state government has established infant care center with priority and importance and informed that children of government employees between 6 months and three years can be kept in the care center.
Skilled Monteshwari trained staff has been managed for this. She said that the services will be provided keeping in mind the nutrition and child development of the children.
