A 16-year-old boy died in a road accident at Waling Municipality-8 Dumrikot in Syangja under Siddarth Highway.

On Sunday night around 8:30 pm, the truck No. G1 B 9472 coming from Walling Mode towards Bhakunde was overtaken by the motorcycle No. 69 P8067 coming from the same direction.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Hari Prasad Paudel of District Police Office Syangja informed that Sushil Gurung, who was sitting behind the motorcycle and was residing in Viruwa Rural Municipality-7 and currently living in Walling-9 Campus Road, died.

The injured Sushil died at night during treatment at the primary health center, he said. The police said that the truck driver, 39-year-old Divakar Lamichhane of Kushma Municipality-12 of Parbat and 17-year-old Hemant Rana of Walling-8, the motorcycle driver, have been detained.
