The upgradation of Buddhasingh Marg, which connects the Gandaki and Bagmati provinces in a short distance, has been done at a very slow pace. About 3 decades after digging the track, this route is being upgraded. On August 27, 2079, a contract was signed for the upgrading of this road.

Out of the 34 km from Damauli to Ghuman Ghat, 10 km from Damauli Bus Park to Sudepool was awarded a contract by Mainachuli Saphal JV, Kathmandu to be completed by 27th May 2082 . Only 40 percent physical progress has been shown with about 4 months left to the end of the working period. Head of Infrastructure Development Office Ravindra Tiwari said that in the 10 km road upgradation with

agreement, there are 10 km drain construction, 9 km black sheet, 1 km slope and fence raising. He said, "Drain construction and graveling work is going on". The work of blackening the road has not been able to take the expected speed.

He said that he is putting pressure on the construction side to speed up the road upgrading work and finish it on time. Chief Tiwari said, "Slope work will start soon". After that, the construction side is ready to lay the black sheet.'

He said that 100 million 24 million rupees have been paid for the contract agreement at a cost of 342 million 27 million 44 thousand 561 rupees. For the current financial year, about 25 million rupees have been allocated in the budget.

In 2048, a road track was dug from the headquarters Damauli with the aim of providing access to the road to the residents of the southern part of Cachar district. Locals opened a track along the banks of Madi using household tools like spades, picks, and shovels.

Since the road has not been upgraded even after 31 years of track digging, the locals have to live with dust in winter and mud in winter . The unpaved road was widened from Damauli to Ghumauneghat with the aim of connecting the residents of the district's villages like Kota, Baidi, Chhihope and Dharampani, Masdighat, Naldipul with the road.

Rather than going to Narayangadh via Pokhara-Dumre-Avukhaireni-Mugling, the distance is about 24 km shorter to reach Narayangadh by going from Damauli to Ghuwanghat via Buddhasingh Marg. However, the concrete bridge construction work has not been completed at the turning point to connect Buddhasingh Marg with Mugling-Narayangadh road. Although there has been discussion about the construction of the bridge for about 15 years, the work has not yet been done . Similarly, it has been almost a decade since the contract was signed for the construction of the bridge at the turnpike.

Although the contract for the construction of the bridge was signed in June 2071, it is still at the foundation stage. So far, only the pillars on the two sides have been erected . Even though the road division office has repeatedly warned that the construction company will be blacklisted if the work is not done according to the contract, the construction side keeps extending the deadline but not proceeding with the work, the local alleges. According to the design prepared by the contractor company on the basis of

design and build, the bridge will be 115 meters long and 11 meters wide with footpath. It is said that the cost of the bridge to be built in modern 'arch' design is 82.6 million rupees . The design mentions that the dual-lane bridge will have a 7.5-meter carriageway. According to the agreement with the dead Sanjeevani Construction Company in Hedaunda, only 30 percent of the work has been done so far, according to the Road Division Office.

The bridge being built over the Trishuli River connecting Ambukhaireni-5 and Bharatpur-29 on Buddhasingh Marg has not been completed for ten years and the lack of bridges on the other four rivers has created a problem in the local movement. Siddhant Garja Magar, the coordinator of the Sangharsh Samiti, said that the locals have formed a Sangharsh Committee and are putting pressure on the concerned agencies to speed up the bridge construction and road upgrading of the ghat.
