One person died and 13 others were injured in a bus accident that took place at around 4 pm on Friday in Ambukhaireni rural municipality-1 Satrasaya under the Prithviraj highway.
District Police Deputy Superintendent Ashok Thapa said that when the driver lost control, the bus overturned on the roadside culvert. He said that 22-year-old Sumina Sapkota of Chitwan's Bharatpur Metropolitan Municipality died when the Vyas Samiti's Ba 5 B 2999, which was going from Damauli to Muglin, met with an accident. Sapkota, who was injured in the accident, was declared dead by the doctors of Ambukhaireni Hospital.
35-year-old bus driver Rabindra Ghale of Bhanu Municipality-5 has been detained by the police.
Similarly, 42-year-old Damanti Thapa of Ambukhaireni Rural Municipality-3 has been sent to Narayani Community Hospital in Chitwan for further treatment. He said that Thapa's face was injured and his condition was moderate. The police said that 12 other injured people are being treated at Ambukhaireni Hospital.
