Manang Police said that the body found on Sunday in Kholsi Khonch of Nigaloghari, Nason Rural Municipality 3 of Manang has been identified. According to District Police Office Manang Information Officer Police Inspector Chiranjeevi Pandey, the dead body has been revealed to be that of 46-year-old Babu Ghalan of 15 Ratemate, Hetaunda Sub-Metropolitan City of Makwanpur.
Police inspector Pandey said that after his 18-year-old son Sunil Ghalan identified him as his father, an autopsy was conducted on Monday and the body was handed over. According to him, the dead body found in a decomposed state was taken to the district hospital in Chame, the headquarters, after being bailed out by the police.
According to him, police received information that Ghalan, who was working as a wage laborer in Nigaloghari area since 27th of Kartik, had gone missing since the morning of 30th of November. At that time, the police and locals searched, but they were not found.
On Sunday morning around 8:30 AM, after the locals reported that the dead body of a man was found in the gorge of Bhir Kangsung river in Nigaloghari, the police picked up the dead body, carried out preliminary investigation and kept the dead body safe.
The police said that the son came and identified the missing person after informing his family for identification.
