A bazaar will be held on the 15th of every month in Marsyangdi Rural Municipality of Lamjung. Earlier, there was a festive bazaar.
The agricultural and animal market operation committee formed by the rural municipality will conduct the market at the agricultural service center of the rural municipality located in Marsyangdi Rural Municipality-3, Khudi. The rural municipality will assist for this work.
Rural Municipality Chairman Arjun Gurung said that after making the executive decision and the agricultural and livestock bazaar procedure, the bazaar will be conducted on the 15th of every month.
He said that he is going to operate a hot market once a month for the convenience of both producers and consumers while increasing agricultural production. Domestic products such as khasiboka, lamb, local chicken, vegetables produced by local farmers, Raithane Balika Parikar, honey, pickles, meat cutting achano will be sold in the market.
Handicraft products such as doko, namlo, dunatpari, doko, namlo etc. will be kept. Cauliflower, cabbage, potato, garlic, lamb, cauliflower, bell pepper, etc. will be kept for agricultural production. Bhishmakant Kuinkel, chairman of the Hot Bazaar Operations Committee, said that rice, kaguno, millet, corn flour, meat, pulses, etc. will be kept for food.
Similarly, Bhiramah, Gharamah will also be sold, he said. He said that since farmers themselves can sell agricultural products, it will be convenient for both farmers and consumers. The rural municipality has already determined the minimum support price for agricultural produce and animal products.
In order to promote local agricultural production and reduce the supply of agricultural produce from outside areas, the rural municipality has said that it is going to conduct regular haat bazaar in Khudi near the village center. Chief administrative officer Arjun Chapai said that the market is going to be conducted regularly to market the rural agricultural products and connect the rural farmers to commercial production.
