The 303rd Prithvi Jayanti and National Unity Day were celebrated by garlanding the statue of Prithvi Narayan Shah. The participants of the program said that Prithvi Narayan Shah's contribution to keeping history alive and honoring cannot be forgotten. 'Prithvi Narayan Shah's message is very relevant in the current context,' said Mohan Bahadur Thapa, the head of the district coordination committee, 'Nepalese people can never forget the role of Prithvi Narayan Shah, who spent all his time in the unification campaign.' He became the center of attraction for many. Shrestha, in front of Prithvi Narayan Shah's painting in the museum premises, had a problem with the photographer. Since last years, Shrestha has dressed up as Prithvi Narayan Shah and participated in the program on the occasion of Prithvi Jayanti. The participants of the program discussed about the state unification started by Prithvi Narayan Shah from Gorkha. 
On the occasion of Prithvi Jayantra, Rashtriya Prajatantra Party has also organized a program including garlanding the statue of Prithvi Narayan Shah in the museum premises. RPP central member Ramraja Koirala and others laid wreaths on Shah's statue. 
RPP secretary Ramesharaman Khanal said that the day was celebrated discussing Prithvi Narayan Shah's state unification. "We discussed the contribution of Prithvin Narayan Shah, we were not able to put his teachings into practice," he said.
