Senior Vice President of CPN Maoist Center and former Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayankaji Shrestha has said that the government was brought down after the Maoist led government started opening corruption files.

Addressing the second session and vigilance meeting of CPN-Maoist Party Syangja Andhikhola rural municipality, he said that Congress-UML brought down the government to protect the corrupt when the Prachanda-led government not only opened corruption files but also started taking action.

"If anyone controls corruption, it is the Maoist," he said, "If anyone does corruption, it is not the Maoist." Let's exclude such people from the Maoists.'

He also said that there has been a change in Nepal that is not seen anywhere in the world and it is possible because of the Maoists. "At that time, the Congress-UML came to join us after the king kicked," he said, "we are also the party that protects the constitution." He also said that the said decision was annulled.
