A bull fighting competition will be held on the occasion of Maghe Sankranti in Kukurdi of Bandipur rural municipality-2 of the district. Narayan Gopal Youth Club has been organizing Bull Judhai competition for the past 3 years with the aim of encouraging the farmers in animal husbandry.
Club president Ujjwal Gurung said that interested farmers from all over Tanahun district will participate in this year's competition. He said, 'So far, more than 16 farmers have come in contact to participate in the competition.' He said that the first and second place winners in the
Bull Judhai competition will receive cash prizes of Rs 15,000 and Rs 7,000 respectively. He said, 'The registration fee to participate in the competition will be 500 rupees.' Men's and women's volleyball competition has already started from 25th of January.
The first, second and third place winners in men's volleyball will be awarded with medals and certificates along with 40,000, 25,000 and 15,000 cash respectively. Likewise, the organizers said that the first place in women's volleyball will be awarded with a medal and certificate along with 7,000 cash.
