Relief has been distributed to the fire-affected families of Shyamchet in Arughat Rural Municipality-1 Manvu. 15/15,000 in cash and food, clothes, and other materials have been distributed to three families.
District Administration Office Gorkha has provided cash relief amount of 15/15 thousand per family from disaster management fund. Chief District Officer Punya Vikram Paudele said that clothes and other materials were distributed to the families affected by the fire.
Arughat rural municipality distributed 7 sacks of rice, 1 sack of chiura, salt, oil, vegetables and other food grains, three bags of tripal, said the chairman of the rural municipality, Raju Gurung. Armed police have provided 15/15 blankets and pillows, 6 bucket jugs, 6 towels, 21/21 steel bowls, plates, glasses, spoons and other materials.
Similarly, Nepal Red Cross Society Gorkha Branch has provided 8 tripals, 15 blankets, vadakuta sets, 4/4 bucket jugs, clothes, mattresses.
On Saturday evening, the houses of Purna Bahadur Lama, Wise Lama and Aite Lama of Shyamchet were destroyed by fire. According to the police, the incident happened when a nearby corn cob suddenly ignited while lighting a fire in the stove for cooking at Purna Bahadur's house.
