Materials including a set of panchebaza kept for providing training to the disabled were stolen. The building of the training and rehabilitation center of the Gorkha Blind Association, located in Gorkha Municipality-5, has been looted and stolen.
Pawan Kumar Basnet, the program coordinator of the Blind Association, said that the set of panchebaza, which was meant to provide training to the disabled, was stolen.
Four pieces of Narasimha, two pieces of Damaha, two pieces of Sahanai, one piece of Tempo, one Jor Jhyali, water pulling motor and other items were stolen. He said that the locks of 6 drawers inside the building were also broken. "The materials were stolen by climbing to the second floor and breaking the window," he said. "The stolen materials were kept for providing training." "When I went to water the vegetable garden near the building this morning, I saw the window open. When I looked, the pipe of the motor that was used to draw water was cut. When I did not see the contents inside, I informed the police," he said.
Gorkha municipality provided Panchebaza in 2076 to provide training to the disabled.
