Galkot Municipality has brought into operation an urban clinic targeting Madhyapahari Lokmarg. Mayor Bharat Sharma Gayre said that the clinic was brought into operation with the aim of providing first aid and referral to those injured in road accidents on the highway.

Almost 40 km section of Madhyapahari Lokmarg falls in Galkot Municipality. An urban clinic has been opened to provide treatment for travelers who come to the area due to accidents or other problems and to provide general health treatment to local citizens as well. Last June, the municipality prioritized citizens' health in policy and budget. Medicines and materials needed by wound patients are kept in this clinic. There is also a stretcher to bring patients immediately. In addition to this, the clinic has also started pregnancy tests for women. "If there is an incident, we give priority to the treatment of the injured, otherwise we continue to provide normal health services," said Ahev Anisha Thapa of the clinic.

OPD patients regularly come to urban clinics. In the first phase, the municipality has started work here by giving the post of one Anami and one Ahew. Thapa said, "Though targeted at injured patients, we have treated other problems as well. We have also provided services to those who come for regular pregnancy tests."
