With the aim of promoting tourism in Bandipur of Tanahun, 'Bandipur Visit Year, 2025' will be organized. Bandipur rural municipality has decided to celebrate the year 2025 as the year of tourism with the aim of identifying new tourist destinations, creating jobs and making economic activities more sustainable.
'Bandipur Visit Year has been organized with the aim of increasing the number of tourist arrivals to 200,000 per annum and envisioning a prosperous and cultured Bandipur through responsible tourism activities while protecting and developing the natural and cultural heritages,' said Surendra Bahadur Thapa, chairman of the rural municipality.
For that purpose, the rural municipality has formed a secretariat under the coordination of tourism businessman Baish Gurung, said the village chairman Thapa. According to him, the Secretariat has representatives from Hotel Association, Restaurant and Bar Association (Rewan), Tourism Development Committee, Industry and Commerce Association, Homestay Federation and others. Gurung said that the
tour has been prepared to bring in one lakh domestic and foreign tourists during the year. He said that the target is to bring eight lakh tourists to Bandipur annually in three years based on the tourist year. According to him, in order to attract tourists in the tourist year, the goal is to create a package according to the age and interest of the tourists, and to increase people's participation for environmental protection. 
He said that the average stay of tourists will be three days and the average daily expenditure of foreign tourists will be 75 US dollars and the average daily expenditure of Nepali tourists will be 3000 rupees. There are currently 75 hotels and four homestays in Bandipur. There are 120 hotels and 12 homestays operating in the municipality. It is estimated that the rural municipality will spend four crore 43 lakh 50 thousand rupees for the
visit. In the estimated expenditure statement, the commitments expected from the federal, provincial and local governments as well as other national and international governmental and non-governmental organizations have also been kept. In addition, regular programs are also included under the Bandipur Rural Municipality of the Government of Nepal.
