Operation and pediatric treatment room at city hospital

Galkot residents, who have to go to the headquarters in case of common problems, have received the services of surgery and infant treatment room in the village. Galkot Nagar Hospital has also made operation and intensive care room for maternity services and brought it into operation.

The hospital has brought operations, video x-rays and other services here with skilled doctors . 15 beds are also operational in the hospital. Apart from that, ultrasound, lab, OPD, maternity and emergency treatment rooms and post-mortem services are also in operation. By adding equipment to the building, the service was easily operated by the head of the hospital. Rajesh Poudel said .

City Chief Bharat Sharma Gayre informed that necessary preparations have been made by purchasing 4 ropani land for the construction of additional infrastructure. This hospital has been operating for three years only. According to the statistics of the hospital, more than 30,000 patients were being treated here last financial year alone. To operate services like district hospital from zero, the municipality supported the construction of infrastructure, while the Gandaki provincial government supported the purchase of materials . Apart from that, the rural health improvement project operated by Fairmed Foundation supported all the equipment and materials needed for the birthing center.

After the infrastructure and materials arrived, the Family Health Division gave permission to the hospital for operation services on August 16. Here, Galkot Society Japan has also supported in the construction of ambulances and other funds. The local Jhappar Bahadur Basnet has spent 10 lakhs in the hospital in memory of the parents and has also supported the hospital.

Although the hospital building was built, there was a lack of delivery rooms and infant services. From the first week of November, both services have become easy. "Now we are able to provide regular operation services, but there is still a lack of blood transfusion," said Paudel, head of the hospital. Because of this, patients from Galkot Municipality, Tarakhola and Badigad Rural Municipality and some places of Gulmi have come here to get services easily.

Mayor Gayre said that the people's health is the first priority in policies and programs as well. Accordingly, the current year's budget has also been allocated. "There was a desire to provide services with operations within the city, it has just been fulfilled," he said.
