There has been a clash between inmates and inmates of the District Jail located at Lamjung Headquarters, Bensi Sahar. According to the police, there was a clash between the two sides of the prisoner-detainee around 7 o'clock on Saturday night.

Police chief DSP Nishant Srivastava said that the watchman and 5 people involved in the clash were taken into custody by the police and taken to the detention cell of the district police office. The prisoners involved in the clash, Amal Ghale, Shrikrishna Chiluwal and Dev Gurung, as well as the prisoners Mouladin Mia and Tej Gurung, were taken into custody by the police and taken to the police custody cell. 

Similarly, DSP Srivastava said that Chowkidar Khushi Ram Magrati was also taken into custody and brought to the police office. While separating those involved in the clash, the prisoners Chijkumar Shrestha, Sandeep Shrestha and Deepak Sunar were injured. DSP Srivastava said that they suffered minor injuries on their hands and were treated inside the jail.

According to the police, it is understood that there was a fight between the prisoners and the detainees when they were complaining about the work of the watchman and accusing each other. DSP Srivastava said that further investigation is underway. 

Chief District Officer Buddha Bahadur Gurung said that it was understood that there was a fight between the two sides of the prisoner-detainee regarding the work of the watchman. After a fight between prisoners and detainees, more security personnel have been mobilized in the prison. Apart from the existing security personnel, 25 Nepal Police and 7 armed police have been mobilized, the administration said.

There are 120 prisoners in Lamjung Prison with a total capacity of 35 people. There are 55 prisoners including 52 males and 3 females. There are 65 prisoners including 64 males and 1 female.
