The entry (ticket) fee has been doubled to watch the performance of artist Durgesh Thapa in the second Gulmi Mahotsav held in Gulmi. Artist Thapa had a performance on Monday at the festival and agriculture, tourism and trade fair organized by Gulmi Chamber of Commerce from last May 5.

To watch the performance, the normal ticket fee is double that of other days - 200 rupees and 100 rupees for students. In earlier days, the general entry fee for the festival was Rs 100 and for students Rs 50.

Artist Thapa came to Tamghas by Cymric Air helicopter for the performance. He landed at Chidichour Stadium at 2:17 PM. After that, he started performing at the festival from 2:30 pm. From 3:05 to 3:19, the performance was stopped due to the breakdown of the sound system. Thapa continued his presentation till 3:35. Then he returned by helicopter at 3:53. President of Gulmi Chamber of Commerce Durga Prasad Pandey said that Thapa took 5 lakh rupees along with the helicopter as salary at that time.

Gulmi Chamber of Commerce President Pandey said that the entrance fee has been increased because the artist's expenses are more. "When you take Durgesh, it will be expensive everywhere and you will have many friends," he said, "because he needs a helicopter and the cost will not rise, we doubled it after consultation." Secretary of Chamber of Commerce Gulmi Surya Ghimire said that 7,550 people bought tickets on Monday. A separate ticket with his name was made for Thapa's performance.
